Mack

Mack is the white dog bailing an eighty pound boar out in the wild. You can see in this footage how Mack goes in close and stirs up the pig also he wants to go around the back of the boar which makes the boar want to change position. This is something that I do not like seeing a dog doing as it can be enough to break a wild boar.

Mack, Thunder and Breeze bailing a 110 pound boar in the training block. When I called the dogs off this bail they walked past the sow to leave the block with out trying to annoy her.

I have just written an article about Mack for the next Hooked on Boars Magazine but as with any Magazine I can not put in any video footage of Mack and some of his training. So for the followers of this web site, this is your chance to get an extra insight into some of his training.
Mack is a young dog that is now about fifteen months old and belongs to my oldest son Sloan. I won’t write to much about Mack here as any one can read the article in the next Hooked on Boars Magazine. I would like to think that the footage will be self explanatory.

Three dogs walking past the sow and showing no interest in her.

Mack getting some stock training.

Mack in the training block with other dogs. In this footage I am getting the young boar to break the bail by putting to much pressure on him. This makes the dogs have to work to stop the pig from getting to far away.
