I seemed to get a lot done on day 17 starting with hand shearing two of our rams.
I also had to make the hard call of killing Cecil my pet ram.
It was Cecil himself who forced this decision onto me as he loves to knock people over. I had one occasion where I had to hold Cecil while one of my pig hunting clients could make his way out of the block because Cecil was he’ll bent on knocking him down. A couple of times he had caught me from behind and we had rolled down the hill with me ending up on top but you just could not trust him. So his last job is to feed my dogs as he would be to tough to eat.
On a brighter note I got to see the black boars tusks.
A couple of the sheep had fly strike early on in the lockdown at our run off block, one of them was a pet, Dotty.
Last thing for the day Janice and I walked up to feed the sows and young along with the dogs and even Charlie the cat came for a walk. The photos are of Charlie with a 120 pound boar.
