On leaving home to go for a hunt I filmed how the dogs react as I leave home. Showing that we don’t always have to talk to our dogs to get them to perform a task for us. It it as much about how we act as what we say.
On this hunt Tig put in a good find over 400 meters up a face of native. I was expecting the pig to break down to me when the other two dogs arrived but he stayed bailed in the same spot so I started making my way up towards them and was about half way up when he broke down into the gully right beside the track. It was nice to see that they were not putting too much pressure on him and I had the opportunity to film just before shooting him. It was only a 20 meter drag back to the bike with this 101 pound boar.
Back in the milk tankers on night shift felt good to be able to get back out on the road for a couple of nights.
